Hi Everyone! I'm just getting used to this blogging thing, so bare with me. I start my adventure in 17 days! I am very excited, but getting very nervous. I have to remind myself that I'm not that shy, reserved 14 year old I used to be, and that I'm actually a grown up- even as much as it stings a little to say that. I know that stepping outside my comfort zone is going to be scary, but also very rewarding. I once read a quote that said "Not until we are no longer afraid do we truly begin to live." I wrote it down and taped it to my bathroom mirror. I hope to grow, to be creative and free and truly put more faith in myself than I thought possible. I'm hoping this journey, no matter how far away it is and no matter how hard it proves to be- will be something I remember for the rest of my life.
I also wanted to lay to rest the whole theory of it raining all the time in Portland. When I was there for 5 days in March, it only rained one day
AND I got my first sunburn of the year there! Also, thanks to Wikipedia, during the summer months there's not really that many rainy days. Plus everything is sooo green, it's beautiful!
Well, that's a good start to my blogging career I think. Stay tuned, I'll be updating whenever I can. And wish my Dad and I luck on our loooong move out there!
