Shwood

Ok, so Mark's best friend is this great dude named Dan. Dan owns Shwood. Shwood is a company that hand carves these awesome sunglasses out of wood. Shwood just won Dell's favorite small business award and now has a series about them. So, for those of you who hear me rave about Shwoods and how stellar they are and how I'm basically famous because I know the owner (for reals, I've been to his house, and he hugs me when he sees me- legit right?) here's the first episode.

Oh Crap

Well, I think I've officially neglected my blog.  Life has been so busy the last 2 months I forget it's October already.  Holy crap.  There's lots going on here, lots of new things in my life and lots of people came to Portland to see me!!  I'll recap briefly...
1.  One Miss Amanda Jamison came all the way from South Korea - by way of CO- to see me!  It was amazing and I just miss her even more after spending 5 days getting a ridiculously amazing ab workout from laughing so hard.  We went to Seattle for 2 days and basically did and saw everything that city has to offer.  We also quoted and watched Drop Dead Gorgeous, which is still part of my everyday vocabulary. If you haven't seen this movie- you should.  I am much funnier if you have.

2. Next on the list was Mark birthday.  Seeing that I like to set the bar too high early on, I decided to organize all mark's 5 million friends for a surprise dinner at this favorite restaurant.  He was shocked and pretty happy to see about 18 of his besties waiting for him when we got to dinner.  Now I need to top that next year... crap.

3. I started my new job!  Yes, having 2 jobs is totally awesome and not at all stressful or tiring.  I'm back to being a barista and serving liquid crack everyday.  It's fun and fast and the polar opposite of my other job.  Which is exactly what I need.  I'll be moving into the "managerial position" by February, so that's a little more legit I guess.  I just do it for the free coffee.

4. Mark made me do a half- century bike ride.  It was actually far less painful than I thought.  It took us just under 4 hours, 2 stops, 4 gatorades, 2 powdered donuts, 3 potatoes and 2 fig newtons to finish 50 miles.  It was fun and I'd do it again.  Now my cooka might not agree- she was not speaking to me for at least 4 days.

5. I went hiking!  In the gorge- my favorite hike.  The day was cloudy and cold but by the time I got to the top the clouds were gone except some low clouds in the gorge.  It was pretty epic.

6. Oh and Lucy got fat.  Yeah.  She gained 6 pounds in less than 2 months.  I guess I shouldn't buy her love with treats anymore.
