Why, hello new cycling cleats

Why yes, yes those are cleats that fit into a road bike.  Do you get to see the road bike? Nope, not yet.

Spring... sorta

I never thought so many of my posts would start out as a weather report, but I guess that's what happens when you live here in Rainy-town USA.  No new news in that department though- still cold and wet. Here's a snippet from the forecast...

In other news...

I have apparently tapped into my crafty side because I have a list a mile long of projects I want to get working on.  I already started re-doing the guest bedroom and just need to find some final pieces to make it complete.  It's much brighter and happier now that I painted (not that Mark's design skills aren't fabulous, I just think he wasn't as depressed as I was).  I sanded and re-painted my dresser, which I am pretty proud of.  It got dinged around getting moved and needed some TLC.  I am also going to buy a sewing machine to make curtains, throw pillows and maybe a few other things depending on how those go.   I am excited and hope it turns out ok.

New colors and new bed
repainted dresser!
Mark and I went to Bend a few weekends ago for Austin's 5th birthday party.  Roy and Amber rented out a place filled with inflatable castles, slides and obstacle courses.  It was pretty awesome and I think the adults had as much fun as the kids.  I have decided that Bend is the Oregon equivalent of Breckenridge and I would definitely be ok with living there.  Oh, and the sun shines there.

Other than that, life's been pretty low-key lately.  I recently found out I am horribly allergic to balsamic vinegar, which is a bummer.  I also went to the dentist for the first time in 5 years.  Word of advice- don't wait 5 years to go to the dentist.  Not fun.  I also get to have my wisdom teeth removed this summer!  yipee!!

Well, that's all for now.  Hopefully something exciting will happen soon so my blog won't be so blah.
